Bush Stone Curlew.

This bird is in the school grounds, and it has 2 eggs.

They are funny looking birds.  They always remind me of Road Runner from the cartoon, as they tend to run around.

They must have a hard time protecting their eggs from predators, as they lay their eggs on the ground.

I've even seen them in local car parks.
