Wound up in Wexford

Back in the sewing room

I treated myself to a small quilt kit - 42 pieces of fabric, each 7 inches square.  They come with a suggested pattern - 21 squares with stars (either dark stars on a lighter background, or light stars on a darker background) sewn into a piece 3 by 7, to make a table runner.

When I bought the kit I thought I might not actually make the suggested piece, but the intellectual challenge of deciding what to make was too much.  It's quite nice to just follow the pattern relatively mindlessly, concentrating on getting the piecing accurate.

So I made a start today.
