A present from Mexico

Well it’s our turn. I was thinking we were getting too old for the full-on itinerary of trips like our Mexico one but maybe having Covid (unknowingly) for the last few days had something to do with it.

A woman in the group sitting beside us on the bus appeared 5 or 6 days ago wearing a mask and saying it was “just a cold” as she’d done a test. Others in the group had coughs but said it was the aircon. A few days ago we got runny noses and sneezes but just assumed it was her cold. We wore our masks on the minibus and when around people but I wouldn’t be surprised if others in the group got it. Or have it.

Anyway when we woke with sore throats this morning we did the tests. I’m just glad to be home and in our own bed.
