Today I learned that a good friend has lost his father. As I heard the news my eyes caught the porcelain mug that I had received from my grandma at the age of perhaps 6. I was at that age always playing cowboys and indians. She painted this herself. She passed away 27 years ago. This mug is one of my dear treasures which I keep on my desk and which always gives me such warm lovely memories of her - the kindest person I ever knew.
