Aberafan Prom

“Remember, the storm is a good opportunity for the pine and the cypress to show their strength and their stability.”

A day for following up the magazine commission to photograph the Self-Build near Aberafan. Today is about getting the interiors; it’s wet and cloudy outside, not a problem as I’d made sure of getting some exteriors in the July sunshine with BobsBlips. Spent the day in comfort and warmth moving through the house getting a selection of angles for the magazine.
Business photography over I went to Aberafan beachfront in search of inspiration and a late lunch – a regular habit on shoots at this time of year. A very quick walk along a short stretch of the prom keeping an eye on the approaching showers in the brooding skyscapes – when they hit they were heavy, coming down stair-rods as we used to say! No surprise there weren’t any brave souls on the prom today. I didn’t hang about long, then headed back home to get the raw photos onto the desktop for processing, a couple of days entertainment there at least.
