Lathyrus Odoratus

Jellydisc

The spaniel and I tried out a new circular route from the nearby village of Nettlebed down through the Warburg Nature Reserve. At five miles its just about right for his morning walk. I found some beautiful examples of the pink tinged Beech Jellydisc (Neobulgaria pura) , a fairly uncommon find in Britain. I also saw the black version (Bulgaria inquinans) but these had all lost their shape in the recent heavy rain.
