Slipper Orchid ( Paphiopedilum maudiae )

This is purely a record shot for my own purposes.

Pre Covid Beatham Nurseries had an annual event where they invited Burnham Nurseries (Orchid Growers) from South Devon to bring stock for sale and give talks.  Kanyl and I went to their event in January 2020.  I fell in love with a Slipper Orchid and bought it.

Since then it has grown well but shown no signs of flowering until recently I spotted this bud.  The conditions on a north facing bathroom window sill must suit it.
