Tree trunks, on the patch

These are, mostly cherries, and mostly self-seeded from the original trees planted in the late 1980s.
They produce beautiful, fat, sweet, black cherries, and we used to gorge ourselves. But unfortunately, now, they only grow high up in the trees, and the birds get them all. Glum face.
