May day, and a fantastic, beautiful, dare-we-believe-in-summer sort of day. I drove to Sudbury and back for basketball, and the journey both ways was just sensational, with greening fields, May flower in the hedges, and on the evening drive back, long shadows highlighing the undulations in the landscape.
This is just one of the beautiful villages I drive through on this route and it's got the works: thatched cottages, a huge village green, ancient pubs, a huge, really massive oak.
Quite, quite, lovely.
