A versary

A beautiful November morning, blue skies ,crisp and dry, just the day for a nice doggie walk.

Today was our 28th wedding anniversary, another excuse to eat out. We went to the “Farrier” in Cayton where we had a lovely meal - a lot more up market than your normal pub food.
The village is situated  on the beautiful North Yorkshire Coast between Scarborough and Filey the village of Cayton is mentioned in the Domesday book as Caitune and there is no doubt that it existed many years prior 1066. Standing next to the 12th Century church in the heart of this village is the former ‘Smithy’ and ‘Inn’.
For more than 200 years the former cottages on the corner of Church Lane and Main Street have been of service to locals and travellers alike with the resident blacksmith shoeing horses and offering hospitality..
Footie for Mr PC tonight very disappointed with the game.
