Blackberry or Raspberries in flower

A brilliant day today. Clear blue skies and full sunshine. I took advantage of the weather to spend some time at the allotment, removing an old strawberry bed and clearing the weeds. I harvested beetroot, parsnips and purple sprouting. Just a bit more to do before it’s all finished for the winter.

While Susan went to see her mum I completed the company tax forms, something to put off for as long as possible! Done now. Then spent time on various other “just” jobs.

More interesting results from glucose monitoring today. For breakfast I added peanut butter, cocoa nibs and seeds to my porridge. The spike was as high but the trough not so low or in the red as yesterday.

Lunch remained high even in with eating the salady bits first. Not a low trough afterwards. Dinner was a salad with a mushroom omelette and bread and butter. Hardly raised a spike.

About to have the regular Friday night plain chocolate and coffee. We’ll see how that works.
