Silage

Ascension Day is a bank holiday in Finland. So we had free from work and slept late in the morning. Late breakfast etc... Seemed rainy day but turned out to sunny and quite warm (+15c) still evening. Nice!

Mother's day is approaching, it is always the second sunday of May in Finland. So we visited to grandmum's to celebrate mother's day in advance. On the way back we chose the narrow country road, and took al little walk too as there was so lovely light and fresh air after the rain.

So many nice and almost artistic photos. Hard to choose one. Finally silage was the winner. The white plastic rolls on the hay field consist likely AIV fodder, in which dilute hydrochloric or sulfuric acid is added in stored grain. Increased acidity stops harmful fermentation and has no adverse effect on the nutritive value of the fodder or the animals it is fed to. It is finnish method, if I rememberg right... More of it here, if you are interested.

Thanks for your nice comments, chatting, stars and all again yesterday, so sweet of you!

Some work to to in the garden now. Have to go for a second or two. See you later in the evening, as I'll catch you up!!!
