Carlingnose Pier

I'm hoping to walk the full length of the Fife Pilgrim Way, a relatively new long distance waymarked walk which follows the route the ancient pilgrims would have taken from North Queensferry to St Andrews. I started at North Queensferry this morning intending to head inland at Inverkeithing and head for Rosyth but it was such a beautiful day I couldn't bear to leave the coast so kept going until I got home to Dalgety Bay. Lovely!
Continuing the military them from yesterday, Carlingnose Pier was involved in handling mines as part of the Rosyth and Forth Bridge defences during both World Wars.
