Rainbow

At Cumbernauld Old Parish Church this afternoon we held our annual Rainbow Service, when we remember those who are no longer with us in person and also those who are mourning their passing. During the service, people were invited to light a candle (or more than one) if they wished. As a sign of hope, at the end of the service everyone was invited to take away a bulb to plant and which will flower in the spring.

It's always one of the most moving services we do each year and is a moment of calm and peace amidst the hubbub and busy-ness of Christmas preparations.
