Beam me up

The bandstand in Chapelfield Gardens at night always reminds me of an open-sided spaceship and makes me feel that I should be able to step inside and be beamed up to another galaxy.

I took this shot this evening on my way home from a meeting, struggling on my bike against an extremely strong wind that had come from somewhere. It felt like winter.

ps: I checked the lifebelt that featured in my shot yesterday, and it has got a couple of cracks in it so has probably been discarded from being used as a lifebelt. In fact, it kind of put me off using it as a swing .....
