Sanderling

Another glorious day with hours of sunshine (7.5°C) and not a breath of wind.  Mrs CBL and I thoroughly enjoyed our walk along the shoreline.  

We saw the band of sanderlings looking for their lunch along the tide line. Also saw another favourite the oystercatcher doing exactly the same.  I think oystercatchers must have big advantage over the sanderlings with their longer beaks being able to dig deeper into the sand.
