Two Saints Way - Stages 9 & 10 - King's Bank

A walking day and Ross had suggested we look at a long distance walk called the Two Saints Way, which was a pilgrimage route between Chester and Lichfield Cathedrals. We took the train to Stoke on Trent and walked back to Stone, a distance of 12 miles.  We intend to break the route up into manageable chunks over the next few months.

We started in grey conditions but as we started to climb behind Trentham Gardens we entered foggy conditions from the low cloud.  This was on Kings Bank and we were both marvelling at how many leaves were still hanging on this late in Autumn.  A clear indication we have had a warm year.

We made good time and ended the day having completed 15.3 miles taking into account the walk from Ross's home to the railway station and back from the end of the stages.  Looking forward to further walks along the Way in the coming weeks.
