Sticky task

Tonight’s task is gently warming the fruit in brandy, brown sugar and butter before I leave it to cool and steep in the pans overnight. I may make the cake tomorrow but more likely on Friday at lunchtime. I’ve left dried fruit to steep in brandy for about 4 days in previous years (pan lids on of course as I don’t want to be responsible for a load of drunk angels!)

It’s felt quite cold in the house today even though it wasn’t freezing outside. Hoping we have a mild winter.
