Kibble Palace

The Kibble Palace is situated within Glasgow Botanic Gardens and is a wrought iron-framed glasshouse which was cast at the Saracen Foundry in Possilpark and was  erected at its current location in 1873.  It was initially used as an exhibition and concert venue, before being used for growing plants from the 1880s.

It underwent a £7 million restoration programme between 2004 and 2006 which involved the complete dismantling of the structure for specialised repair and conservation following which it was rebuilt.
