The Gates of hell

I got some one-on-one time with the Gates of hell today, up close like I've never been before. I was at the Rodin Museum for a conference on the genre of the Artist's interview, and it was excellent! 

I think this must be a pretty quiet time in Paris, between American Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays, and there weren't many people at the museum. I've never been able to go right up to this statue before, and it was pretty moving.
