Hanging 2

Ploughed through several items on the 'to do' list this morning, including sorting out vehicle insurance for another year. Fortuitously, the insurance company's website was suffering a temporary glitch, so after a couple of failed attempts to renew the policy on-line, I phoned. The very helpful call operator remarked that the premium had increased, noted that we'd been with them for a few years, and promptly reduced the amount by over £30. Apparently a loyalty reduction! Brilliant!

At lunchtime an unexpected phone call from my GP. She was due to call tomorrow, but had some spare time today. Could I come in to the surgery this afternoon to discuss my medication. No problem - should be almost an hour to spare between this afternoon's yoga session and my appointment. But in the room where yoga is held the clock stopped part-way through the session, and no-one noticed!  Only when  Margaret realised that it was getting quite dark outside did she think to check the time on her phone, to discover that we had over-run by over 20 minutes! Bit of a dash, but made it to the surgery in time. Just!  Seems that I'm probably allergic to a particular class of BP medication, so there'll be another few weeks of trial and error, and probably high BP again. Sigh!

When I left, the Christmas lights hanging between the lamp posts outside the surgery were glowing brightly through the fog.
Also still hanging on to hear whether or not the prospective buyer wants to proceed...
