Tribal Government Day at the Capitol

One of those pomp and circumstance moments that create contradictions galore. The men in front are drummers and they were wonderful. But note the mural on the wall showing the meeting of Indian and whites and the two people in the gallery with the same type of headdress. Each tribe gave a speech but the sound system just made echoes in this lofty chamber. However, there was no problem hearing the drumbeats.
