Brief Encounter

My good friend Ed, from way back when we were whippersnapers together in university. He was here on business from Canada. Initially, we thought our paths wouldn't cross as I thought I'd be at the wedding (see Back Blips below) while he was here.

But no, he's flying back tomorrow. So, we arranged to meet tonight. Thing was he wasn't feeling well and had taken a bit of a turn for the worst. Still we met up for a wee while, while he watched me drink beer and eat steak, as he drink water and eat boiled vegetables!!

Because of how he has been feeling he'd basically been confined to the hotel and his work for the majority of the trip. That sucked no end.

It was great to catch up with him, as always, however infrequently. He's a great bloke, very easy on the ear, as it were. Catching up on mutual pals from uni, family and what we've both been upto.

I left him as he was waiting on a doctor to give him the all clear to fly, which thankfully he got. Next time he's down we'll make it an Expansive Encounter.
