Messing around by the river

We spent the afternoon with a big group of friends by the river near Clitheroe for Kerris's birthday. It was lovely to spend the day with her, splash around in the water, build rock towers, skim stones, sun bathe, laugh, and catch up with friends. Our little friend Saskia came to help us cook (and eat) the prawns on the BBQ... and made us laugh when she randomly took an escaped prawn that had fallen on the sand, wedged it on a stick, and ran off to pretend to the other kids that she'd just found it in the river.

A lovely way to spend a bank holiday.
