Doocot

The Pinkie House Doocot stands on what is now the playing fields for the local primary and grammar schools.  Doocots were originally provided as a place for pigeons or doves to roost/nest in order to keep the birds available as a source of food..  The birds were neither fed nor kept captive.   Later doocots were used for racing pigeons
