Resident Kingfisher

This lovely Brown Hooded Kingfisher is in the garden most mornings and through the day.
This morning he was perched on the rain tank, every so often flying down to the lawn and catching a tasty insect.
Not the best photo with the white pipe  dominating, but I really wanted him for my blip.
We continue with hot, dry weather, luckily the wind has dropped today. The fires seem to be under control and are fortunately not near our village.
