A day of small frustrations - sleeping in, missing lunch at my new favourite cafe in Bondi by 2 minutes, finding the Head On photo festival had closed on Sunday - and one big plus. My brother FaceTimed from my mother’s room so I could talk to her. She’s had COVID and with staff shortages communication has been erratic, but she’s now close to fully recovered.
