A gift of a day

Everyone I met seemed to have a smile on their face today. What a beautiful one it was, starting frosty and treating us to blue skies and sunshine from beginning to end. I was so pleased to have an excuse to drive along to the northwest corner of the island and be treated to this clear view across the sea to the islands of Rum, Skye and Muck.
A few hours later the nearly full moon shone so brightly down on Bertie and I that we didn’t need a torch as he enjoyed snuffling in the frosty grass before bedtime.
