The Bi-centenary Sculpture

Up until now all my images have been taken within a 5 or 10 minute from my home.  There is merit in photographing the ordinary!  Today my location was two miles from home and it contained lots of little treasures.  I took 34 exposures and had an impossible task to select just one; so I asked my better half to decide, she picked this one!  I shoot the majority of my images with a wide open lens and only stop down if I want depth of field.  I like the effects of a narrow depth of field, but you need to be close to the subject to get this effect.  Pity I can't add others from today's shoot, although I like the discipline this imposes.
