My little native broom is beginning to flower. It is encrusted with masses of flower buds, and even a few tiny leaves, which is unusual. Last season it had plenty of flowers, but no leaves. The flowers are 5mm across, and the whole shrub is 17cm tall (see extra shot). There are more than 20 endemic varieties of Carmichaelia, but I don’t know which this is. I bought it at a market many years ago.
