Invisible Repair(s)

Another in the series of failing masonry….

This stone wall looks to have been bodged repaired more than once. This is another retaining wall…the ground level behind is up to the top of it (about 2.5 - 3metres) …some earth is visible to the bottom right. It may not be ‘retained' for much longer!

At least two sections of this wall further down the hill have failed in recent years and have been repaired rather more elegantly than this. Our village isn’t all crumbling away…honest.

The camera was horizontal when I took this shot - the road/path is really quite steep at this point.

I also found some rather nice sunny oak leaves - glowing with a blue sky background (see extra).
