Up the creek

We drove up to our caravan lodge this afternoon just to check that everything was in order and that we had done all we are meant to do in preparation for a spell of very cold weather. Then a short trip to a nearby garden centre at Beetham and to C’s favourite supermarket in Milnthorpe, followed by an end of afternoon visit to Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve. The sun was setting, the moon was rising and large numbers of starlings were coming in to roost in the reed beds. It was a lovely trip and a day that finally felt like some form of normality.
