House number sign

Warmer today and the snow is melting a bit, but there's still plenty of ice on our driveway and patches of snow everywhere. I went for a walk down the road to pick up the mail and noticed the icy patches on this old house number sign. I wondered if someone had thrown snowballs at it!  I like the moss growing on it.  
G had smelled something dead a couple of days ago and went to investigate today. He found a dead young deer in the forest quite close to our house. I could smell it from the road when I was walking. I might go and have a look soon. It's always so sad when we find a dead deer. Guess the recent cold and snow were too much for this one.   :-(
