The Tea Party

At Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse to which the Volunteers had been invited..

The event was held in The Great Hall and the rather fine spread was a taste adventure. If something is Chocolate then I am all for it.

An equal size gluten-free menu was also available, and it was also a taste adventure.

This is a chance for colleagues to get together and to listen to speeches and reports from the NTS managers.

Service certificates for volunteers were presented including one person for 30 years. I will receive my 10 year certificate next year.

I did take photos of the group, but they are not of a quality for Blipfoto.

However, today’s entry shows a portrait of a Dutch Gentleman who did not appear to be amused. A man with no name.

Hardly surprising he was 60 years old when he died in 1631.
I wonder if he ever tasted chocolate.

As we departed we were all given mugs emblazoned ‘ Thank you for your volunteering in 2022.’

The Volunteers are essential to the running of the National Trust for Scotland as was stressed on several occasions.

Called into see Donald H and Pat gave him a freshly baked Christmas Cake which does require a drink.

I am certain Donald will do that.

Very greasy slippy roads on the way home. Snow tomorrow?
