Breakey Blips

Walking Wayne wanders through the isle of Whithorn

my aliteration doesn't quite work, but after walking a fair chunk of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, going for a stroll along another pilgrim way from the Isle of Whithorn, where St Ninian is said to have landed, towards the abbey in Whithorn should have been easy.

Except for the bizarre absence of signage. After a few dead ends, we followed the route of some distant walkers and eventually found a sign telling us that we were on a walk.

"Gee thanks", growled the Hawaiian short clad Aussie. The Scots were somewhat bemused at his scantily clad legs on a rather chilly weekend.

It was good to see him, catch up a bit and welcome him to church before he sped off to Liverpool to enjoy some time wandering down Penny Lane.
