Admiring the view ....

.... or about to chase that teeny bird! Can you see it?

What a day, bitterly cold but so crisp and clear. Pockets of frost remained all day and the pond is frozen. We ventured in to Bantry to the market, the stallholders well wrapped up. A delicious lunch in East then we came home on the northside, stopping off at the Egg Beach and skidding on the seaweed. We attracted notice and this big soft lab came bouncing down to see what we were up to. I threw him a stand of kelp  and he frolicked in puppyish and ungainly fashion - but once was enough!  This beach has amazing rock formations at low level and a massive rock always full of cormorants just out in the sea. 
The fire's lit, the heating's on, it's going to be another cold one.
