A Chilly Day

The north-north-west wind has been removed to protect the innocent.  A Menshevik came to the door today – I saw them coming along the road and purposely kept him waiting.  When I went to the door I told him I had a special offer of Bolsheviks.  He was non-plussed and left.  I was non-pulsed and nearly left.  But not left leaning.  Speaking of leaning it was at such a moment that Lenin seized power.  Seeing his opportunity he climbed to the top of a lamppost to address the crowd. Inevitably he whipped out his ukulele, gave a quick strum, and burst out ‘I’m Lenin on the lamppost at the corner of the street….’

Turned out nice again.
