Is nothing safe -

- from the visual pollution over some of Sydney Harbour's iconic bays, and our seemingly insatiable thirst for "Luxury Brands"?

This is a display of lights from hundreds of computer controlled drones over Farm Cove in the Sydney CBD. Pretty in its own way but just another example of the crass consumerism for luxury brands that is all about us - fuelling inflation.

At present Sydney is "host" to this display by Versace; an ugly Lego-like block building with See Louise Vuitton plastered all over it dominating First Fleet Park at Circular Quay; and the Gucci Garden Archetypes display at the Powerhouse Museum with its attendant crass pink mobile billboards plastered down the sides of our light rail.

All just a continuation of the display at Circular Quay 2 years ago here. Are the "Powers That Be" really so desperate for advertising revenue?

Rant over - I'll crawl back into my anonymous little shell now ;-)
