My topsy-turvy life

Sliding away

The birthday party invites are coming thick and fast at the moment. Today it was Romily's party at Mickey Millers's in Craven Arms. I'm sure the parties are just an excuse for the kids to go mental for a couple of hours while the parents load up on coffee...and if course I got dragged into the soft play too, and following Owen down the slide.

We got home to the news that Conor had died this morning. He was diagnosed with leukakemia just about 12 months ago and had a transplant that initially seemed to have worked. But, some inconclusive blood results were the sign that he'd relapsed and, despite all the efforts, there was nothing else that could be done. He dealt with it all with such amazing strength that a child shouldn't have to bear and the whole thing is just wrong on so many levels.
