SILLY SATURDAY

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We were really excited last night because we heard the HCBs saying that they were going to Church for a BIG breakfast that would be provided by a group called the Band of Brothers - obviously made up of all men - from their Church.  Mr. HCB had volunteered to help and he was supposed to be there by 7.30 a.m., so Mrs. HCB was going to take him and then she said she would go upstairs and do some knitting, as it wasn’t really worth going home again.  We thought we might be able to jump into the car and go as well but Mrs HCB said that we would have to stay at home, which made us very sad.

Elvis the Elf told us that he would put on a little show for us - he says he is quite a good singer, so we all gathered around the Christmas tree so that we could listen to him.  We were all very quiet and waiting for him to start when he suddenly shouted “OUCH - I’ve got some pine needles in my b*m!”  We didn’t know quite what to do, but Mrs. HCB came to the rescue and managed to get the pine needles out before they did too much damage.

You can see us all enjoying the show and the eagle-eyed among you will even notice that Hoggy is there too, just behind JH Ted.  When we asked what he was doing back indoors, he said that it was SOOOOO cold underneath his leaves last night - when the temperature dropped to about -6°C - that he decided to come in and get warm and then go back out there while the sun was still shining today.  That is rather silly, but we think that Admirer would be happy that Hoggy was warm last night and we were all pleased too.

When Mr. and Mrs. HCB got back they said that they had both had a great time;  Mrs. HCB said the breakfast was wonderful and Mr. HCB told us he had had a great time helping with the other men.  They are a good-looking bunch, as you can see by the extra photograph, who call themselves "Band of Brothers", and we understand that all the ladies who attended said they wished they could come for breakfast every week - now that would be silly!

Take care everyone, and stay safe - especially on the icy roads and pavements - we don’t want any accidents to happen.

With love to you all from
The Silly Saturday Gang xxx
