Crazy, or what?

Well, having had two weeks off, it was time to go back to parkrun.  Quite a number of our local parkruns were cancelling due to icy conditions, but Edinburgh Cramond said it was on. We left the house, having had to clear snow from the car first, and drove there very slowly in almost blizzard conditions. Conditions on the Prom were a bit better and by the 9.30 start no more snow was falling and we had a lovely run with nice crunchy snow underfoot. I was wearing several layers and since I wasn’t going to beat any records today, I was quite glad of them. The usual hardy types were wearing shorts - see one of the extras of people before the start. The other extras show the Prom before we ran along it, the lovely white beach and the path down from the car.  Just over 150 dafties ran our parkrun this morning and over 20 stalwarts braved the elements as volunteers.

The snow turned to sleety rain later in the afternoon, so everything was getting slushy. Just hope it doesn’t all freeze again or it will be a real nightmare.
