Life on the go

Ely Cathedral Community Christmas Carols

Ely Cathedral Community Christmas Carols

Last minute decision today we decided to go to the Ely Cathedral Community Christmas Carols.

Most years since we were married ‘way back’ we have attended Christmas Eve Carols.

Firstly for Midnight Carols at St James Church Wulfstan Way with Sue’s Mother and then in later years after we moved to Haddenham the Christmas Eve Service at the Cathedral.

This year rather than go on Christmas Eve we decided to go to todays Carol service.

Most excellent it was too.

Music was supplied by the Littleport Brass Band and the choir was the ‘Ely Cathedral Community Choir’, a so called ‘pop up choir’ made up from cathedral volunteers, staff and congregation members.

At one point the Brass Band Leader had us ‘jumping up and down’ whilst singing the twelve days of Christmas. Very energetic :)
