They're Off!

We've been out and about for most of the day so this is a quick selection blip from parkrun this morning.  It was very frosty when I set out just after seven am, but thankfully not icy until I reached the bridge at the ford when I was almost taken out by the slippery flagstones.  It seemed the paths near to the beck were affected by the moisture in the air unsurprisingly so I had to watch my step.

Also unsurprisingly we needed to do some gritting in places on the course before the arrival of the runners and walkers, but we deemed it safe to go ahead with the run.  We had one participant completing his 250th parkrun today, quite an achievement when you think about it.

We beat a hasty retreat home when the last one was in as we had a lunch date with orienteering friends at the Fat Abbot over York way, so it was a quick change and cuppa and we were off.  Lunch was very pleasant and convivial, and it was good to have a proper catch up rather than the quick chilly few words in event carparks.

Back home I have been processing parkrun photos after bath and clearing up from yesterday's tea with neighbours, which was also lovely.
