Busy village halls

At this time of year local village halls are so busy with Christmas weekly cafes, films, bazaars, plays, lunches, quizzes and other festive activities. We live in a group of four villages. Three have excellent village halls. Our village, which is the biggest does not have a village hall. Instead it has a Reading Room, built in 1871. Sounds quite grand and I believe originally it was where the local community could come to read the news or other literature. Whatever they are called these buildings are well used by their communities.

My blip is of the pretty Xmas tree in our neighbouring village hall. It is where we will be performing Railway Children in February.
