Bitterly cold with conditions treacherous underfoot ...... invisible black ice. The dampness last night had frozen solid and the bodywork of the car was covered in wee frozen lumps of ice.

At 5 o'clock tonight we have the first of the Carols by Candlelight services in the church. We always have an early one so that the students can enjoy the festive service before they go home for the holidays.
