Open House

at Look About Lodge.  A rare opportunity to roam through almost the entire lodge.  It's normally closed, except for special events and meetings of the Cleveland Natural Science Club, since 1938.

We smelled the fire from the woods while we were hiking.  Both fireplaces were roaring inside, tended by DM who turned out to be the sister of a gal I went to high school with.  Mr. Mole enjoyed seeing the interior during the daytime as he's only seen it at night during concerts.  It's such a special place in many ways.  I did not see any of the bats that live inside.  Phew!
