A rare vagrant

I am reasonably certain that this is a shoveller. and if so then it is the northern shoveller, which makes it a rare vagrant.

I had a walk around the Western Springs Lake, and was just about to leave when i spotted the shoveller, and (I think) its mate. At that point I was reasonably satisfied with the photo of the masked lapwing, and the photo of the shag just off the water as it took to the air.
