Eye Eye

It's been a cold, damp, dull day weather-wise.   In fact it was snowing, though not laying, when we ventured out after lunch.  Still we ran our errands and awarded ourselves a coffee at Nero.

I was on the lookout for photogenic eyes as we walked, this being the theme for today's Mono Monday hosted by Carolina.  I saw one or two possibilities but finally settled on this pair of wide eyes on a doll we bought as a Christmas present (the recipient is too young to be reading my blips, or reading anything really, so it's not a surprise spoiler!).

Back home we are being frugal with the electricity on request of our power company who is offering the grand prize of 59p if we reduce our energy usage between 5pm and 7pm by a certain level.  We had an early tea and listened to the news on Ann's phone.
