Safely in the Dealership

My car went for a service this afternoon.  I chose to wait for it so had some time to look for interesting angles on some of the shiny vehicles.  I rather liked this one.

I made some mince pies when I got home(!!!!!).  The basic pastry was nice but I wanted the top to be piped like a viennese whirl.  That failed totally as the mix was much too stiff...  Will need to look for a different recipe.

I also experienced the dreaded sewing bobbin running out half way round a difficult seam...

BUT  our lovely neighbour shared some good news today!  More about that another time...
