Christmas spirit

Pathetic photo, but it's the only one I have today. The weather has been absolutely dismal, 6C, 100% cloud cover, and raining. I had a sudden desire for mince pies, and since you can't buy them here I belatedly decided to make some mincemeat with what little dried fruit I had on hand. Here it is soaking in Cointreau.

I went out to fetch a click and collect shop in the afternoon, and was glad to get back into the cosy house. I'm happy to report that the white wine famine is now resolved, in that the cave coopérative has bottled the first of this year's production. So we have been able to restock and it's white wine and bacon and mushroom sandwiches round the fire!
